Heat Transfer Mechanism Investigation of Bubble Growth on the Superhydrophilic Nano-Structured Surface Using Moving Particle Semi-Implicit Method

The boiling behavior on nano-structured surfaces is a frontier research direction in nuclear engineering. However, the mechanism of heat transfer still unclear. In this study, depletable micro-layer model and nano-structure are proposed based Moving Particle Semi-implicit (MPS) method coupled with Meshless-Advection using Flow-directional Local-grid (MAFL) scheme, also known as MPS-MAFL method. developed paper establishes bridge between nano-scale surface structure macroscopic bubble boiling. Only by knowing nanoparticle size, porosity, thickness nano-structure, can be considered into growth process. accuracy approach validated benchmark cases experiments, respectively. present quantitatively simulates behaviors for first time. results indicate that contribution to was not neglectable, while proportion rate bared 40.55% at ΔTw = 7.22 ℃ 32.23% 10.15 ℃. contributions wicked fluid heater were about 42.13%, ratio them 14:11. current study provides fundamental base further investigations.
